I thought this place was pretty impressive overall. They had some rare beers on tap such as Oscar Blues Wee Heavy, Stone Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter, Scotty Karate and a Belgian Chouffe IPA. Unlike most beer bars, when you order a flight, these actually are labelled in the little carrying device so you don't forget what's what. That was a nice touch. I had the Mac and Cheese, which was very good but not best in class. I could actually get a little iron taste at the bottom of the iron serving tray it was cooked in, which was odd. I've never had that happen before. A lot of trendy, tight pants wearing hipsters might be down on this place because it's not downtown like Hopcat and Founders are. I see that as a tsunami of positives, however. I find hipsters irritating to be around and I don't like getting panhandled, parallel parking or paying for parking downtown, so this place kills four birds with one stone for me: 1) There are few hipsters, 2) No panhandlers, 3) No parallel parking demands, and 4) No paid parking as at Hopcat when it's busy. No, it doesn't have the beer choices Hopcat does, but the positives outweigh what I perceive as the negatives of the downtown experience. If you prefer to hang out with people whose pants are so tight you can tell what religion they are, you'll be disappointed here.

Still waiting to enjoy my meal but I felt the urge to comment at this moment because the music here is AWFUL. The staff, beer and appetizers have been great but I am so distracted by the terrible music that includes very disruptive commercials every 15 minutes. Music is a very integral part to the customer experience and what is playing here does not match the atmosphere you are trying to achieve. Now that I've eaten the food I stick with my 2 stars. Everyone we spoke with was very sweet and accommodating however we waited and waited for our drinks, to order our food, to get our food and the checks. Do NOT get the pad thai. If I had to guess it was noodles topped with Alfredo sauce mixed with siracha. Essentially the food was mediocre and over priced. Sadly I won't be returning.

I went there for drinks after work, so I cannot comment on the food. The beer menu was very extensive and the prices where all over the board. Some were right on and others had be scratching my head. $9 for a Founders Breakfast stout? You can get a whole 4 pack for that or $6 at Founders on draft. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. I'd go again and try the food.

Love the Decor, much better than the previous bar. ( MaLarkys). Wide variation menu, and a fabulous selection of beers. Service seems very good for only their 2nd day of opening. I'll be back!!! Our bartender Tonya, was fun, attentive, poured a Gr8 martini, & ( the best quality of a bartender) was a good listener!!!

I will admit, I had mediocre expectations for Gravity after reading many reviews and hearing about service issues and long waits via word of mouth. I met a friend there for beer and apps, choosing a weekday and arriving at 9 in an attempt to avoid a long wait for seating. We were seated at a high-top table near the bar right away. Gravity's beer list is well-curated, but not incredibly innovative or unique. I scanned it and essentially said "had it before" to about 1/2 the selections...and I am no beer connoisseur. I loved that each beer had pricing for flight and larger sizes. Their food menu was separated into sections- apps, small plates, entrees. Not in the mood for the waitress-recommended tots, I had a salad and the deviled eggs, which I'd ordered in hopes that they'd be an elevated, gastropub-worthy version. They really weren't. My dining companion had the baklava cheesecake and raved about it. A few minutes before 10 pm, we were informed that it was "Last Call" and I was, frankly, gobsmacked. I get that Gravity is in the 'burbs and on the Beltline, not a happening late night joint downtown, but 10! That made me reconsider the "this is primarily a beer place" branding and publicity. And speaking of branding, Gravity's exterior is *all wrong.* It looks like a smarmy nightclub from the street, from the matte black paint job to the font to the giant, heavy doors. I'd like to give Gravity another chance as a restaurant, but as far as beer-centric drinking experiences go, I'll stick to Founders and HopCat.

Just ate here for the 1st time and loved it! Our waitress was Amazing....and I'm very picky! Ask for Maria! She picked great beer selections! The truffle tater tots were great! I will be back!

(I wish they let you do three and a half stars). They have a ton of beers on tap which is chill if you're into that. The sandwich portions were good as with the burgers. The seasoning was a little bland, but hey they're new. Overall, I would've given it three and a half stars but I rounded up. Great atmosphere and decor and the servers are really nice

Had a great experience at this restaurant service and food was amazing. Let's not mention the beer. All around a cool low key spot.

What a great place!! Went on a double date on a Saturday night. Of course it was packed but there was a spot to stand and enjoy a beer. The wait went quickly, we were seated and immediately greeted by our server. We enjoyed the Truffle tater tot appetizer and another round of great craft beers. (I wish there were more IPA's on the menu) We then ordered dinner and I got the special which was 1/2 a delicious sandwich and this amazing mushroom soup. The prices were right, the service was great and the atmosphere was fun. I would go back again for sure!

  • Cassandra N.

I like the ambience at Gravity. And the truffle tots. The rest of the food is just OK, nothing outstanding. (And I wasn't at all impressed by the baklava cheesecake.) The steak frites were good, but the $23 bowl of mac & cheese was not rave-worthy. All in all, I would go back (and have several times), but just for drinks and tots.

Once I finally dared the crowds to try to get in (78-year-old mother in tow, no less; it was our sometime Tuesday happy hour and she's been curious). I was glad I did. Amazing tap array and the beer novice in me could only ask the bartender for recommendations which he was enthused to offer. In the (noisy!) dining room we got very good service. I ordered the sandwich special and mom ordered fish tacos - with mahi they were surprisingly ( for her) substantial and filling ( that would be because it's mahi and not a frozen cod fillet like most places I told her). My sandwich was meh and the bragged- about tater tots were ok -- but then I don't think tater tots are restaurant food ( or any kind of food for that matter and yes I know that is the idea) so it was hard for me to get excited about ordering them. Overall a fun place even idiot did feel a little too old ( and a little to female!) to be there. I just have to make a quick mention of the next time I went, with some colleagues from work. It was the second day they were using iPad as menus. I asked our server "how come you can't search beers by their gravity ?" Blank stare. "What do you mean?" She asked. Tater tots again. Again not my faves. Baby steps with the computer menu my friends!

This is my second time here. The service is below average. The server rarely checked on us over the 4 hours we were there. He never smiled and acted bothered by our questions regarding beer selections. Quite frankly, he was apathetic. The appetizer hash browns were very good. The Mac and cheese was only average. The beer from the tap isn't cold enough and they do not have frosted glasses. Overall, will not return. There are just too many other wonderful places to eat at in GR where the service is actually very good. You have some work to do.

Oh man what a cool place to eat and drink at or just eat or drink. Great atmosphere with some very interesting interior design. Plenty of parking, A Great Beer Selection from America's Beer Capitol of The World. The Food is Outstanding !! The Pizza Mac & Cheese is Pure Heaven !! A great and friendly staff and management !!!

Meh is the best way to describe this place. Lets frame it this way: Foodies: Go for a drink at the bar which has cool ambiance but don't bother with the food or service from the servers. Bartenders were great though. They even had reasonably priced wine/certain beer. Applebees Fans: You will probably like what they are trying to go for. Food is inconsistent but you might get lucky. We also did a corporate event here and it was a train wreck. The food was lackluster and not worth the price. The room we were given was very nice and new, but the staff again wasn't great to deal with.

businesses seem to come and go pretty quickly where this restaurant is located, but I bet this one is going ot break that trend. The atmosphere can be different depending on where you sit. There is outdoor space, more open seating area with large windows, tables that feel a little more secluded and dark, bar space, communal space and high tops for just casual dining. Depending on your mood, you can sit accordingly-great versatility. The drink menu is huge. Literally something for everyone, which isn't always the case at a lot of places. The beer menu seems to be at least a hundred. A lot of local and lot of ones you don't come across too often. The servers are very helpful in figuring out a beer that matches your taste if you are unsure of ones you haven't tried before. The menu is creative with a lot of different options for everyone. I, nor have people I am with, ever been disappointed with their food. It is inventive, tastes fresh and filling. The popular item seems to be the build your own mac and cheese, I have never had it, but know people venture to Gravity just to indulge! Check this place out, it is sure to please anyone!

So, after a few more visits, I like this place a bit more. The service has improved dramatically from before. This was the first thing my wife commented on when we last went and I was pleasantly surprised to see that. The food remains good, but be aware that the White Truffle Tater Tots are overrated. If you are a cook or are a foodie (and I am both), you may find them a bit greasy. But if you're a fan of McDonald's fries, you will love them. Otherwise, the food is not at all bad and the prices are fair. I like most of the entrees, and I finally tried the Steak Frites. For $19, you get a decent steak with a really tasty mushroom sauce, but the fries were too salty for me to eat. Next time, I'll see if I can get them sans salt. The sloppy sliders were pretty tasty, but the "pimento cheese" smacked more of Cheese Whiz than something freshly made. The desserts are kind of "meh". Most recently, I got the Lemon-Blueberry Bread Pudding. Although it was a big portion and looked great, it was rather bland. I didn't care to finish it, if that tells you anything. I guess that isn't the end of the world, though. I wouldn't expect most patrons to go to a gastropub-type place for the desserts. I do love the beer flights. It's a great idea to have smaller portions of multiple beers to try, but they are not cheap. As other reviewers have noted, you can typically buy an entire pack of a beer for about 2/3 the cost of a single draft of it here. I recommend going for happy hour. They have some great deals during happy hour and the $8 Michigan Flight N' Bite is one of them. Overall, a good place to go for drinks and food - if you can get a seat!

4.5/5. Loved this place. Awesome interior design! Really modern/industrial look that is very inviting. Outside eating area was extra cool...wish it wasn't so hot so we could have sat outside. Great beer selections. Beautiful bar area. Well laid out floor plan. Excellent food for the price. 4 people in our party each enjoyed their entrees (fish tacos, gourmet pizza, hamburger). Everything cooked perfectly and flavorful without overseasoning. I can't wait to go back! Seems like it wouldn't get too loud even when crowded. I would love to sit outside on a 75 F degree day.

Stellar: Atmosphere - they make a large place feel small and intimate. The black paint has a masculine, metro, downtown feel that I like. Love all the different lighting features! Design & Layout - winding dining floor with smaller rooms for private parties, and a secluded outside patio (Sadly it way too snowy to check it out) The Tatar Tots- AMAZING! You will compare all other tots to theirs! The Fungi Pizza- detectable! Service - everyone is super friendly Needs Improvement: The Sweet Potato S'mores appetizer Food times Food: To start we ordered a smattering of different appetizers: Tater tots, the Kryptinite, calamari, and the sweet potato s'mores appetizer. If there is only one thing you take away from this review, it's that the Tots are TO DIE FOR! Made with White Truffle Oil, they are massive chucks of hash browns, in a crispy, southern style breading. Found under the "finger food" menu, they should be under the "whole hand menu" because they are huge. These babies blow all those other little rabbit turd tater tots out of the water. The calamari was standard calamari- good but not what the tots are. The Kryptinite (pictured) is essentially caramel corn mixed with sweetened corn pops and peanuts. Good, but again, the tots took center stage. We had several people at my table and we all ordered different items. Speaking for myself (Yelping for myself??) my Fungi pizza was amazing. It had white sauce, various wild mushrooms, Parmesan and the big winner of the night, white truffle oil. I didn't eat it all and it tasted just as good at home, heated up. I'm dreaming of it right now. Pass On: The sweet potato s'mores appetizer. I'm a huge fan of sweet potato and anything coupled with marshmallow should, in theory, be a treat. This did not meet that expectation. I'm thinking they just opened a can of sweet potato filling and then stuck it in the oven to bake. There was a few jumbo marshmallows and mini chocolate chips on top but not enough to make it look pretty and not enough to make it taste like anything more then a glob in your mouth. The really odd part came when it was served with pork rinds. Yes, you read that correctly: pork rinds. The kind that taste and have the texture of Funyuns. Maybe it was trying to be southern??? We all tried it just to say we tried it, but that was as far as anyone would go with this dish. Don't get lured into the "innovative/weird" factor of this appetizer like I did; get the tots and you'll be fine. As the other reviewers state, the wait time for food is long. They have a vast beer menu and since our server was friendly and speedy, we had beers to keep us happy between items. I'm hoping they get the cook times down the longer they are open. To sum it all up: GET THE TOTS!

The Gravity is pretty good. More interesting inside than the outside would indicate. Kind of an industrial feel. The menu is somewhat limited and a little pricey for what you get, but you pay for ambiance. On a recent visit, I had the Italiano Pizza. Medium crust with fresh mushroons, onion, green pepper, pepperoni and sausage. Tasty. Another person in our party had soup and salad. The soup was potato zucchini and she said it was good, if a bit spicy. The last member of our group had a salad with grilled chicken added. He said it, too, was good. Our server, "Bug," was knowledgeable and attentive but overly so. I will return to try another of their offerings. I thought it was good, but not outstanding nor unuque.

Tator tots get 5 stars! They are simply amazing. Order them. But other than that, the food was OK. Sitting outside was a nice option. However, I wasn't super impressed by the beer selection. While it's expansive, it's mainly focused on west Michigan beers. That's great if I'm a tourist, but as a west Michigan local, I was looking for something new. NOTE: Check out the price of your beer before you order it. My snifter beer was $10 (I ordered the same beer at the local brewery a month before and didn't pay that much)! The service was subpar. We rarely saw our waitress. Prior to getting our food, I watched the table next to us get up to grab their own silverware... and we had to ask for it, too.

We ordered two beers. The tots. A small caesar salad. Fish tacos and the "Merica" Pizza. ($44 before tax and tip). The pros Good location. Pretty spacy. Wide beer selection. The "Meh" Friend said fish tacos were okay, a lot of toppings (cabbage), very little meat. The tots which I heard every. single. server RAVE about.. were just okay.. and $8 was way too highly priced.. $1 a tot? Seriously?@ The pizza.. just an average pizza and a bit pricy for $12 considering you can get a better pizza from several other locations nearby. The "BAD" The side Caesar... although the price was good $3... they had put SO MUCH DRESSING on in and a side of dressing that after 4 bites... I seriously felt sick. I'm not sure what was in it or why they felt the need to use so much, but seriously the worst salad I've ever had in my life. The waitress didn't even ask why I barely touched my salad, didn't ask if we wanted it boxed. Boxed up our leftover two pieces of pizza, but didn't say a word about the salad. I think this place focuses too much on the drinks and not enough on the food. My husband doesn't drink, but the waitress spent all this time on explaining the drinks... and NOTHING about the food. When asked about the food, the waitress, aside from mentioning the tots, only mentioned the highest priced items on the menu... Tried it.. its the same as the previous place.. good beer, but MEH food and service.

A little mixed on this one. I did go at lunch time on a weekend with my wife and two kids. Understandably not their prime target time or audience. 1.) The ambience was interesting. Very dark and modern. A little bit too dark and stark/modern. The ambience seems more geared towards a chic upscale restaurant than a bar/grill. It was clean and fine, just a little odd and very dark. 2.) The service was very friendly and prompt. 3.) The food was good, but not great for the price. The white truffle tater tots were good, but not worth the price or the hype and very greasy. They were more like hush puppies and there were only about 5-6 of them for $8 and came with ranch. . I got a pizza and my wife got the boss mac n cheese. Everything was good, but very heavy and cholesterol laden. The cream butter and oil were pervasive in everything. It was all very good, but if you are looking to eat lightly or on a low cholesterol diet, be careful.

The outdoor patio ROCKS! It's really cool at night. However I was here last Tuesday night for a girls night and here Friday early evening with my family and there are so many little bugs and flies. They really really need to spray with a professional company. Food and service was good!

They usually have good beer, but they aren't as good as the local breweries. As for the food it has gone way down hill. This used to be a great place to go, hang out and have a beer and snack but it is no longer worth it.

Went to this bar for dinner and happy hour drinks. Becareful$$$$ The restraunt will pull a fast one on you and not give the happy hour price. They will also up charge your dinner a few dollars each. Just be careful when you get your bill; the waitresses will bring you the bill and disappear

Great outdoor area. We were lucky to have a beautiful day. Had the Truffle Tater Tots and the nacho potato chips and they were awesome. I had the Popeye salad. It was good but needed to ask for another side of dressing. My 5 yr old had the kids Mac n cheese and he wasn't crazy about it because it wasn't the usual boxed Mac n cheese. It was really creamy and cheesy. The rest of my family had burgers and they were really good and the presentation was really nice. Asked for medium, but the burger had no pink in it. Taste was still there. Came during happy hour and prices are reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Unexpectedly wonderful experience. We were seated immediately and our server Maria quickly set the tone for an above-and-beyond experience at a "tap house" I was a bit skeptical of to begin with based on other reviews. I normally don't write online reviews because biting laziness. But Gravity earned me getting up from the haze of my laziness to write this. Maria was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and delivered suggestions in an informed but still lighthearted way. Her service made the experience before the food was even on the plate. After I got my drink -- difficult to choose because the menu is vast -- I took in the atmosphere, which was great and perfectly matched with the menu and vibe. There were servers on the floor at all times actively helping diners and I couldn't help but feel a part of something. I got the white truffle mushroom pizza, which had a perfectly textured crust. Other places in town serve a pizza with an over-kneaded chewy crust but the texture here was outstanding. White truffle oil is typically overdone by rookie kitchens in the last 2-3 years but was a subtle ingredient, which it was intended to be; this is a good sign of a solid kitchen. The kitchen knows what it's doing. Recommended appetizer: tater tots with hops ranch. Just do it and thank me later. Beverages were correct pours (not too much, not too little -- and I spend weekends at the Meanwhile) and the menus have enough suggestions to give you the courage to try something new. The rest of my table ordered the burger, a build-your-own-mac, and another pizza, all of which were solid choices. I will be back. I will eat the whole menu. I will become best friends with Maria because she is next-level great. Gravity: you won my business and I can't wait to see you again. Save me the corner table.

The drinks menu was on a tablet. There was no food, just drinks. The food menu comes on a separate clip board which I had to ask. The tablet lacked the ability to sort by brewer or by traditional styles such as ales, lagers, and stouts. The tablet sorted by styles such as fruit and spice, gluten free and barrel aged. Interesting but should have the additional ways of sorting. Their way of sorting aligns to their menu parings which is helpful for some but I could have cared less. I ordered Perrin's Gold which was listed under clean and crisp right along with Miller Lite and strangely enough ABInBev Bud Light. The service was good (as was the beer) as the beer was delivered in a matter of a couple of minutes. The reorder was just as fast thanks to Sarah. Ordered three deviled eggs- fiery sriracha for $4. The appetizer came out in about 4 minutes. The eggs were small but very tasty. They had the right amount of heat, cool to the touch and generally a tasty appetizer. Ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It was delivered timely and hot. Nice crust (not your wafer type thin crust) and a flavorful sauce. At 11" it was a good individual pizza, then again, I can eat pizza by the acres if it good. Fun fact, Americans consume about 100 acres of pizza a day! Check it out. Overall a decent place to visit with a wide selection of beers, about 24 feet of taps, as one would expect from a taphouse. The background music was a good mix of classic oldies rock and some more contemporary artists. The wireless was 15mps up and 2 mps down which is pretty good for a public wi-fi. Nice for sitting and cruising the internet or using cloud based applications. I would give this a solid 4 stars since things went as expected but lacking an interesting menu cost it a fifth star. I will review again and order something more challenging.

We visited Gravity for the first time on Sunday, April 19th around 745pm. We got a seat right away as the restaurant only had a few other patrons at that time. The hostess was very nice and let us know that our server would be right with us. First impression of the place: LOVE the décor and vibe. I like the seating layout and the dark industrial tones. I thought the bar was pretty impressive and the outside patio looked awesome (it was cold and rainy that night..) from what I could see. Jordan (sp?) was our server and right off the bat she was very genuine and had a great bubbly personality. We ordered drinks and while some of us are "beer snobs" and knew what we wanted right away, she was able to offer recommendations for those in our group that were not very proficient at craft beer. The beer selection was awesome and had something for everyone on it! Great craft selection and domestic beers as well. Also, the complimentary appetizer (the popcorn with stout sauce?) was awesome! We also got the tater tots and the cheese dip for an app- both were outstanding. The tater tots are absolutely delicious! The apple slices served with the cheese dip are an interesting twist but are wonderful paired together! Jordan was also happy to give us recommendations on the menu as it was our first time there. Everything looked great and it was a hard decision to make! I choose the mushroom pizza (something fungi) with sausage added on- it was one of the BEST pizzas I have ever had. Two people ordered the chicken dish with grits and they loved it and two other people got the sizzler with mushroom sauce and they could not stop talking about how great it was. So, every single person in our group- 5- was beyond impressed with the food. Also, I ordered a beer that I didn't think was all that great and Jordan happily swapped it out for another one for me, I appreciated that. All in all our experience excellent and we will definitely be back to Gravity! Thank you Jordan for an awesome experience!

This has been the location for a few restaurants so it will be interesting to see how this one turns out. They are part of the RedWater group, which features a few restaurants in country clubs in the area. They did a nice job with decor and opening up the dining area. Maybe because of the newness, but getting a table during happy hour is difficult and there is a line on weekends Pretty big selection of beers including local varieties on tap and a good mix of bottled only. None to my knowledge is actually brewed here. For apps, the truffle tater tots were really crispy and you could taste the truffle oil. The sloppy joe sliders helped absorb the beer, but didn't do anything for the taste buds. The deviled eggs were a bit too mushy when combined with the Sriacha sauce. Nice to finally get a table, but aside from free and convenient parking I would rather venture downtown.

Yummy to the 10th power! My friend and I went to Gravity last week for happy hour. Our first time. Every item we ordered we enjoyed. I had the Steak Frites...8oz filet Mignon melt in your mouth tender! As my appetizer I ordered the BLT Wedge Salad. Total bliss on a plate with big chunks of "real "crisp bacon, chopped fresh tomatoes and a creamy ranch dressing....really scrumptious! Friend had the chicken wrap...it was huge and delicious! Our waitress was friendly and helpful making suggestions and answering our questions. We also loved the House Sangria at happy hour prices. :-)

I stopped in here with coworkers before a meeting at Frederick Meijer Gardens up the road. Unfortunately they were quite busy and our food came out 10 minutes before we had to be at our meeting so we all had to take it to go. I ordered a Carolina BBQ sandwich after looking at the menu for about 30 seconds because I was in a hurry & didn't really read the description fully. I wasn't able to eat it until about 5 hours later and lets just say when I opened the container I was surprised! I read BBQ & my mind thought pulled pork. It was a chicken sandwich with some orange-ish sauce on it. I texted a coworker saying I think I had someone else's lunch & he wrote back asking if BBQ was orange?? (We had gotten the same sandwich). He then looked it up on their website & determined we did get the correct sandwich. :) The orange color threw us both off a bit! In the end it was better it was chicken because pulled pork would not have kept like a chicken breast did! The sandwich was good but I would like to go back & try it when I can actually sit down & enjoy the food & atmosphere. The door is ridiculously heavy & the sugar coated pork rinds on the table grossed me out a bit but I will definitely be back to give it a "real" try!! :)

Went here again for dinner. Sat at bar till we could get seated (actually only 5 mins though they said it may be up to 25) and enjoyed a cocktail and tater tots. Wish my Moscow mule was in a traditional mug but other than that it was good. We sat in way back garage door area and had a nice meal. I chose the Delmonico steak which was tasty but more medium than MR, but flavor was nice. Hub had tenderloin melt which he devoured. We also had creme brulee for dessert which was perfect to finish off our meals. Service was good....and it was busy. No complaints ....will return.

I hate, hate, hate to leave a bad review, but, man, Gravity, you just did me wrong in so many ways. Let me first say that the beer selection was on point. I would love this place if it was a bar without food. Or maybe if it just had different food. Or better cooks. This place has all the right stuff to be a trendy restaurant, but it just doesn't deliver. The atmosphere is great. Service was good. Drinks were good. But food - no effing way. And the music! What the hell kind of place plays Nickelback unironically? Like, really? We couldn't even finish our meals. My friend ordered a medium rare steak that was undercooked not once, but twice! They comped the meal which was cool, but come the fuck on, learn how to cook a steak. I had the lobster and dumplings. Tasty sauce, but lobster was overdone and it had way too many onions. My other friend had a BBQ chicken sandwich, but there was no barbecue sauce on it. Ugh. Sorry guys. I'll be back for a drink but the food was just bad.

My husband and I ate here for the first time last Friday. The beer selection was good, and the crack popcorn as well as the tater tots were yummy. However, I ordered a wedge salad, which was just meh. It did not taste fresh. After we left the restaurant I did not feel well. After a few hours, I concluded that I had gotten food poisoning from something I ate at the restaurant. I was hoping that Gravity would become one of my regulars, but I don't think I'll be able to go again after that experience.

In the age of taphouse/breweries, Gravity is another hat thrown into the ring. I suppose I'll be honest when I say I'm already starting to grow tired of the trend but I always welcome the opportunity for good food and drink so I'll manage to hold back on my disdain for the now cliche genre. My first opinion of Gravity was simply a well thought-out crisis of identity. It's as if a sports bar blended with a taphouse, and was further dashed with a bit of an upscale-ish eatery. The layout and usage of facility space could have used much more thought and imagination. In fact, the building lends itself to all sorts of opportunity and the perceived plan must have inspired a tetris-like adventure seeking maximum seating exposure. Their method makes the place feel more like a diner then it should and fails to advocate even the illusion of privacy or intimacy in your experience. Perhaps this is meant to enhance the bar/taphouse scene but the section of the restaurant that is meant for dining is so cut off from the bar that it makes you feel as if you bought a cheap ticket to a concert. Our service, however, was exceptional. The waitress was knowledgeable and honest about the beers she had not gotten to yet, which is a pleasant surprise over an uninspired 'it's good'. She offered several recommendations and furthermore described the particular items she enjoyed with verification as to why with some depth. The tablet drink menu was both interesting and an annoyance all at the same time. Although I understand the purpose of the approach, to have the ability to change it electronically, being a definite plus it seemed to take up a large portion of the table throughout the evening. In addition, I'm just not a huge proponent of the influx of technology into the staple of something so natural as food. Again, it takes intimacy out of the affair but perhaps in this case the good outweighs the bad. The food was good. It was not great. Amongst the table we got the truffle tots, a pair of mac and cheeses', a pizza and tacos. I'll say that everyone thought their food was decent enough but with a such a diverse menu and presentation that perhaps expectations were higher then they should have been. The price tag is very reasonable as well, maybe that's lending to the fact that I'm still on Vegas pricing internally. We finished with a Baklava cheesecake that was easily the highlight of everything. It was a recommendation from our server and she was spot on with it. Despite the inability of any of us to come close to finishing our dinners this dessert lasted less then five minutes at the table and was easily big enough to give four people an adequate portion. I feel comfortable enough saying that Gravity is probably worth an attempt yourself but just be prepared to choose from a more eclectic menu in the setting of a BW3 or Peppino's pizza. I'll probably give it another opportunity myself, it could be a good place to have a different meal and watch a Tiger's game but for a dining experience I'd probably prefer to head down the road to Rose's.

The ambience of this place is very modern and clean. They had 65 beers on tap that was a plus. The food selection is non traditional for a bar but still has some interesting renditions of classics. They have specialty tater tots which were good along with the "hops ranch" sauce. The sloppy joes were pretty good also. Their service was fantastic. It's amazing how just being nice and knowledgable about your place of business can inspire a return visit. They have an oatmeal stout caramel popcorn that I wanted to love but it fell short as far as flavor. It could have just been my taste buds but it wasn't sweet enough. The gravitation collaboration (gravity and new holland brewery collaboration Maibock) was shocking good. I will return for the beer. A solid place to eat and drink. I feel it was pricey for the unknowns on the menu yet with the food I ordered tasting pretty good I'm sure they wouldn't disappoint. I wish there was a way to give half stars but the service pushed this review to a 4.

Went here for date night with the husband. We were really looking forward to trying something new. We went on a Tuesday night, and it was rather busy for a Tuesday. Atmosphere was great. A really neat place to eat. However, our service and food were in serious need of help. Lots of issues with the server - never checked on us, we sat with half eaten plates and empty cups for 35 minutes while we waited for the check. The server would poke his head out from the back but wouldn't come out to help us out. We had come in at 6pm and didn't end up leaving until 7:45pm, which ruined the rest of our date night. The food was lacking as well. Tater tots too salty to eat and chicken so tough and chewy it was also inedible. No one asked how our food was. Overall, not a good experience, too expensive for what we got, I would not recommend it, and we will probably not be back.

Beer, service, and atmosphere was great. Salted chocolate Stout was the best. Food was meh, not horrible but not great either. Will definitely come back for drinks.

Had an impromptu date-night and tried out Gravity. The beer selection was impressive, really enjoyed the chance to try Oskar Blues (Perrin's new owners) we split the shrimp & grits and added the tots as a side vs getting a full appetizer order. The grits were terrific, my Granny would approve. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of spice. We fought over the fried tomato... The tots were delicious and just the right amount. Service was terrific and prompt.

Came in with husband and large group we got a special room and was impressed. I had a Kona brown from Perrin brewery, also a Avalanche from bells brewery. Was fantastic, we had a pimento cheddar fondue it was better than the pizza, but was not impressed with the food. Service was great, and just a fyi since we had a big group the charge gratuity.

By far one of the worst "new" restaurants in town. The food was bland and limp. The pizzas were sloppy slimy and zero taste. Salads could have been pre-frozen and defrosted for each order. Three beers ordered were all tapped out and no excuse or recommendation as to anything similar. The building structure reflected so much noise that we had to repeat our question several times to the server and ask why they were out of the individual beers. Discussing our experience with several people throughout the week the general consensus was hands-down everybody agreed the food was not worth the visit.

I have to say we were rather disappointed. Perhaps it's our fault for showing up in the middle of the afternoon just after the lunch crowd, or perhaps it's because this place is so new and they are still working out the kinks...but the service was less than ideal and left us all wishing we had gone somewhere else. The food is decent but nothing special. We found the hummus to be bland and the pad Thai was overly creamy and rich. However the worst part was how slow the service was. We literally had to ask our server three times for the same order of beers over a forty minute period. The food even arrived before the (second) round of beers. Our server also promised us a refill on the pita chips for the hummus, but that just never arrived. I think this place has potential, but they do need to iron out a few problems!

Our service was good, we liked the beer list, and the space was cool. The food was in no way good! The dishes and flavors all sounded promising but then the execution was just OFF. We had tater tots which were dense golf ball sized wads, the worst fish tacos we have ever tasted, and a salad of wilted lettuce, made with poorly cooked bacon and served with a dinner roll that could have been delivered by the Schwan man. This place seemed to us like all window dressing and when you get down to it an example of poor execution and too much hype.

Average food at an upcharge. Their attempt at originality fails with disappointing entrees. Came here with a large group. Our service was fast and food came promptly so they did a great job with that but their menu wasn't impressive. Their fries where also over-seasoned to the point of not being able to eat.

Our server was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable about beer....insane how much she knew. She was very helpful with food selections. We started off with a flight of local brews with so many taps it was hard to pick but our server Andrea C was there to rescue us! Thank god! Upon recommendation we tried the most amazing tater tots (which are huge .... These babies are out of this world and the Dipping sauce is so creamy and delicious it puts other ranches to shame)We also indulged in a wild fungi pizza with chicken. At least once in your life you must eat this ! It feels like you are being hugged on the inside when you eat this decadent pie. For entrees we ate one of the most glorious burgers. Oh the gravity burger. This mammoth beast is cooked to temp and slathered with pimento cheese messy but a unforgettable challenge to accept. We also had the lobster dumplings the lobster meat was so succulent and the salty broth just bodes of the ocean. We moved on to dessert and cocktails. Per suggestion she had a glass of Le crema and I tried a bourbon I have never heard of called Angels envy but no matter how good the drinks were the baklava cheesecake is one of the greatest combinations to exists and the star of the show. How has no one ever thought of this? There are no words to properly describe this heavenly buttery and not overly sweet slice of amazingness just get it and you can thank me later. The one thing I have to complain about is the music it is awful! But the combination of food, drinks and great service definitely overrides the music crisis.

There was a 25-30 minute wait at 5:30 pm on Tuesday. But we sat at the bar instead. Service is slower than what you expect but only due to being so busy. Bartenders are working their butts off! Cesar salad big good dressing. Not creamy, traditional. Fish tacos were to die for! DELICIOUS!! Lots of beer good wine selection. And liquor. You won't be disappointed. Just don't go if in a hurry. Friendly staff

Obviously, nice beer selection with something for everyone, however it's no Hopcat. If you're going just go for the beer and skip the less than good food. Or just go to Hopcat and have a good selection with great good. Service was good I will say. 3 stars.

I was so excited to see the gravity tap house open up. I bought my husband a gift card for Christmas. We attempted to use it tonight for a date night. We took our seat at the bar and ordered a couple overpriced beers ( one was not even half full in a snifter, mostly foam). We also ordered food which was mediocre at best. The kicker was when we went to pay our bill though, which totaled $48, (the gift card was for $40). We put our credit card and the $40 gift card in the check folder and as the waitress takes it she's like, "um, sorry we can't take the gift card rights now, it will be at least two weeks before our machine is up and running." Are you serious???? I have no desire to go back there ever and now I'm forced to so i can spend my gift card. Wow, a helpful piece of info that should be displayed, and told to the customers. Terrible experience all around.

Was excited to try it out but unfortunately was disappointed. Liked the decor/atmosphere, and the beer and wine selection was good, but the food was a big let down. My friend and shared Mac and cheese, mahi tacos, and the tater tots. All were very, very bland and unimpressive. I feel like they are almost trying too hard to have gourmet-type food when they really should just go back to the basics.

Great ambiance, and the servers were nice. However, the lobster macaroni in cheese while amazing in concept failed to deliver in execution. It was honestly rather bland and nowhere near what I'd expect at that price point. Drink selection seemed adequate, and the tatertots were good. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but it was decidedly average.

We went after work to check it out and were very impressed with the decor, clientele, and overall atmosphere. Although I am not a craft beer coneseur, the bartender was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all of the beers on tap. I was able to have a small sample before ordering. Looking forward to going back and ordering some items from the menu!

I came for lunch and had the mac and cheese. It was really good. Others at the table had the fish tacos and the alt b. There were no complaints. Service was a tad slow but nothing obnoxious. Nice beer menu.

Absolutely terrible. Service was so slow. It took forever for our server to get our drinks and take our order, not to mention get our food. We had 4 adults and 3 kids, it took us 2 hours to get out from the time we sat. As a server, I know that's not the norm. Additionally, I ordered the pad Thai. It had suffered tremendously under the heat lamps. The noodles were dried out. I couldn't even eat my meal. I only had about a quarter or less of it, but the next day I was throwing it all up with a fever. Horrible. Definitely won't return.

Excellent food and great selection of beer. It gets busy from 430pm onwards so be prepared for a bit of a wait. They're adding more parking this spring as it gets filled up during peak hours.

Had two great meals -Mahi Mahi dinner and Shrimp dinner both delicious. Many other options we would like to have tried including Build-your-own mac n' cheese, specialty pizzas and fish tacos. Great selection of microbrews. Our server, Elliot, was fabulous!!

Went there last night to give it a try. Nothing exciting about this place. Service is slow hence the reason you get caramel corn to pass the time. Ordered Pad Thai, lobster roll and the gravity burger. The lobster completely fell apart with the lousy bun it was on which was dry and fell apart. The pad Thai was ok lots of noodles and not much else. The burger was terrible and over cooked. Asked for medium and got well done. The char marks on the burger were black and the burger was dry as can be. We got fries for the two sandwiches and they were awful. They tasted like they had been sitting for a while and then tossed in the microwave to heat up. They were so chewy and hard we barely touched them. For what things cost you sure don't get much. The place was super loud and then they had music going which forces people to talk even louder. The place is already dark and they turned the lights down lower. Is that so you can't see what your eating. The manager walked around the place like he was completely lost. So not impressed and I won't be recommending this place to anyone.
